2019 Florida Cup to be Broadcast Around the World

Univision and beIN Sports will carry the tournament in the U.S.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Dec. 14, 2018 – The Florida Cup, the annual international celebration of soccer and entertainment in Central Florida, today announced its broadcast details which will see the fifth edition of the event airing live to at least 106 already confirmed countries and counting. In the U.S., the Florida Cup will air on Univision Deportes Network and on beIN Sports. This year also marks the second year of a partnership with Facebook to stream the matches live to fans in America.

With some of the world’s most popular teams visiting Orlando, including Ajax Amsterdam, Eintracht Frankfurt from the Bundesliga, and Brazilian powerhouse sides Flamengo and Sao Paulo FC, the 2019 Florida Cup is drawing increased fan and media interest.

The tournament will kick off on Jan. 10 when Ajax battles Flamengo at Orlando City Stadium (beIN Sports, 7 p.m. ET) while Frankfurt faces Sao Paulo at Al Lang Stadium (Univision Deportes Network, 7 p.m. ET). On Jan. 12, Orlando City Stadium will host a double-header, which will air on beIN Sports, to determine the 2019 Florida Cup Champion: Sao Paulo will face Ajax at 1 p.m. ET and Flamengo will play Frankfurt at 4 p.m. ET.

Globally, the Florida Cup has established broadcast partnerships with ESPN in Australia, Mexico, Caribbean and Latin America (excluding Brazil), SporTV and open to air TV Banderaintes (Brazil) and beIN Sports in the region of Southeast Asia and MENA. European and African markets are still under negotiations. For the fourth year, the Florida Cup will be carried globally to over 100 countries.
